What you are getting and how to take care of it?

Everything made my Katharine Gray Ceramics is by hand, therefore size and appearance may vary slightly.

All pieces are made of stoneware and glaze fired to high temperatures, so should be water tight and can be used in the dishwasher from time to time. Continued dishwasher cleaning, with chemicals, high pressure water and temperatures can start to weaken the pieces and they will start to deteriorate over time. (With the exception of any metallic lustres, these should not be put in the dishwasher and should be exclusively hand washed, please note that even with handwashing lustres can deteriorate over time, extra care is required). Please avoid placing cold pieces in a hot surface or oven, in case of thermal shock and cracking. Occasional use in the microwave is acceptable (expect for lustres as they contain metal and should never be used in a microwave). All finishes and glazes are food safe to the best of Katharine Gray Ceramics knowledge.
